The following are some english patterns I’ve learned today. Iwrote down them in order to restudy later.

1.  have a bone in one’s throat 难以启齿

2. Don’t take it to heart. 别往心里去。

3. I just couldn’t help it. 我只是控制不住。

4. Let’s face it. 面对现实吧。

5. I’ve done my best. 我已经尽力了。

6. Is that so? 真这样吗？

7. walk into someone 撞到某人

8. I haven’t even eaten yet. 我连饭都还没吃呢。even用来强调，连…都…

9. It tastes a little like… (chicken)吃起来有点像…（鸡肉）

10. This is the best … (restearant) I’ve ever … (eatenat).

11. What fruits are in season? 现在当季的水果有哪些？

12. You almost did. 你差点就这样做了。

13. Peace for all time. 岁岁平安。

leftover 剩余的，剩余物

leftovers 剩菜

take turns 轮流

footage 以长度计算，电影胶片，片断

tropical, subtropical 热带，亚热带的

piss off 滚蛋

piss on 亵渎

prominent 卓越的，显著的

out of touch with somebody 与某人不相往来

out of time 不相适宜的，过去的

out of tune 走调

out of turn 不按顺序地，鲁莽的

out of work 失业
