[介词]以...的角色,以...的形式：He worked for a while as a logger,The
news came as a shock.
[副词]和形容词、副词搭配使用表示比较:It's not as hot today. I can type
almost as fast as you.
[连词]  
(1) 当....的时候：The phone rang just as I was leaving.
(2) 因为: As you're new here,I'll give you a hand.
(3)照....方法,正如....: We'd better leave things as they were when we arrived.

语法结构
1  分句 | + as  | + 分句

   The people cheered the doldiers as they marched past.
   As we were leaving,the sun came out.
   表示在某事发生的时候另一件事正在发生。
   You go first,as you know the way.

   比较两件事的性质,或两个人的能力,或是将某事与某个标准进行比较。

3  名词短语 | +动词  | + as   | + if/though   |  + 分句
   It looks as if it's going to rain.

   带介词as的常用动词短语有: serve as , use something as ,be known as,
   be regarded as ,be seen as, be considered as ,be defined as
