马云APEC会议演讲英文稿之一

今天闲来无事，突然想看再看看马云在APEC会议上的演讲。搜到之后，反复看了两遍，还是不过瘾，想找英文原稿，可惜没有，就自己动手啦！不过整个演讲太长，我会分四次贴出来。由于本人水平有限，所以难免会有不妥之处，如果你发现了，就告诉我吧！you will be highly appreciated!

 

After three days, you know, in-house meeting, see I'd also fly all the way here, I don't feel quite well today, but when I see the entrepreneurs, when I came to the SMEs, I always feel excited, cause  when  I joined  the SME conference, I see  from the eyes the dream, the passion, the hope. When I joined the Fortune 500 conference among the CEO's, I see the numbers, I see the revenue, I see the KPIs and the blooding competition. But among the SMEs, you see I have a dream, and I want to do something, and that happens all the time, and that makes me excited all the time.

Today, I think last year, everybody say ” wow, economy is in trouble, we are all dead, what we are gonna do? “and today everybody seem to be happy to say  economic come back. Is it really economy come back? I don't think so. The money is going to big companies, the money go to infrastructures, the money go back to the stock market. It seems nobody learn from that. How can the economic come back if the SMEs not come back? How can the economic come back if the dreams are not come back, the hope are not come back?

I see one thing that few days, two days ago, I had a dinner with my Singapore friends, they said Singapore government is encouraging to have more babies because you know people are aging, not enough kids. I think every economy and every nation needs incite to package to have more small and medium size companies to have more hopes, because every big company comes from small business. If without this hope, without this kind of incite to have more babies, we are gonna die. Why I always feel excited? I have eight babies. In the past fifteen years, I built up eight companies. Seven of them are very healthy, one of them I sold it. When I look at my babies,Alibaba,taobao,Alipay and the company we just call new baby Alicloud, I just have it two months ago. I always feel exited because you see the hope, you know these babies are gonna change me,these babies are gonna change the world. That's thing I always feel excited. If you wanna be happy, have more babies. If a government want your economic be good, have more SMEs. These are the dreams, these are the hopes. These are the future. So this is what I always want to say but enough. We'v been crying to say: please give us support, but all the SMEs ask ourselves one question, we are  not crying babies.

We believe we are tomorrow's Google, we believe we are tomorrow's Ebay, YouTuBe, we believe we are tomorrow's UPS. If we believe we are, we can be.If we don't believe, you’ll never be.
