Foundation Services SharePoint is responsible for internal development on the SharePoint platform, designing and building reusable solutions, patterns and services for the Corporate Intranet. The applications we build are customer showcases for how to integrate custom development with SharePoint out of the box features and address such areas as social computing, collaboration strategies, information discovery, content distribution, portal design and governance, and enterprise content publishing and management. You will be expected to work with the SharePoint PG to dogfood new product features and provide feedback and learnings.

The Foundation Services SharePoint (FSS) team is looking for a program manager to join the team.  Working closely with planning, development, test, operations, and business peers, you will manage the design and building of extensible, enterprise applications that connect users to the information they need by leveraging personalization, social, and governance strategies. Navigate organizations, people and funding bodies, adapt strategy dynamically to overcome obstacles. Tenacity, patience and determination to “will’ the strategy through to execution.

Primary Responsibilities

· Collaborate with internal and external application, development, test, and business teams

· Design and build extensible applications for the SharePoint platform, on premises and online.

· Prototype custom solutions on future releases of SharePoint.

Job requirements

In addition to general technical Program Manager excellence, this position will require

· Passion for making a difference for people through technology

· Fluent verbal and written language skills in both Mandarin Chinese and US English.

· 5+ years’ experience in Program Management (designing solutions & features and getting these implemented and deployed through others)

· Proven technical and design skills, with the ability to learn new areas quickly

· Strong ability to create artifacts that clearly and thoroughly communicate goals.

· Ability to create positive and collaborative environments. Must be able to multi-task, prioritize issues, self-directed and be comfortable in a rapidly evolving environment

· Strategic thinking

· Cross-group collaboration skills

· Experience working with geo-distributed teams

· Experience with agile development

· Bachelor or advanced degree in engineering or computer science or equivalent

· Preferred: Systems experience in environments that utilize IIS and SharePoint

· Preferred: Information Management or science background
