What do you see?

 

  I can see three men in the pictrue. one older man is a doctor, two younger men are baseball players.

There is a license on the wall, it's next to people part pictrue and next to cabinet.The cabinet below has some files , a bottle and pencilcase.

There is a ruler and a pair of scissors in the pencilcase.

  They are patients.Doctor is bandaging one of the younger man his hands hurt, his arm bruise. another a headache , left leg scratch [skrætʃ] and left foot fracture  ['fræktʃə] .

 

At the Doctor's Office

Tony and Mario are at the doctort's offfice.

They are patients. Tony's leg hurts.His head

hurts, too. Mario's arm hurts. His hands hurt,

too. Tony and mario are not happy. It is not a

good day.

 

Tony n. 托尼（男名）

Mario n. 马里奥（男子名）

Making an Appointment  预约

Claire： Hello, how may I help you?

Roy: I would like to make an appointment with Dr.Smith, please.

Claire: What would you like to see him for?

Roy: I need my annual physical(年度检查) and also have a shoulder problem. It is aching.（ adj. 疼痛的；心痛的  v. 疼痛；渴望（ache的现在分词形式））

Claire: Dr.Smith has openings next week. Are you free on Monday or Tuesday?

Roy:  I am free on Tuesday afternoon.

Claire: We will schedule you for next week Tuesday at 3 pm.

 

Seeing the Doctor 看医生

Claire: Hi,doctor. I came today because I need a flu shot(流感疫苗) and to get a checkup.

Roy: Okay. Have you had a flu shot in the past year?

Claire: No, not in the last few years. My knee hurts as well (也). I have been running a lot more and think it is injured(受伤)

Roy: When did the pain start and does it still hurt now?

Claire: About 2 weeks ago and yes, it still hurts.

Roy: I suggest you ice it and I will prescribe(开药) you some pain medication.

Claire: Thank you, Doctor!

 

Visiting a Patient 访问病人

Angelica: Hello, I am here to visit my sister.

Claire: What is your sister's name?

Angelica: Her name is Annette Simmons(安妮特.西蒙）. She is going to have a baby.

Claire: Oh , Congratulations! Yes , I see here Ms.Simmons is in the maternity ward(产妇的病房).Do you need directions  [dɪ'rekʃ(ə)nz] ?

Angelica: Yes, please.

Claire: She is in the east wing（东侧）.Take this elevator(电梯) to the 3rd floor and walk down the hall(走廊) then make a right turn. She is in room 304.

 

Seeking Help  寻求帮助，求助

Claire: May I help you, sir?

Roy: Yes, My child is running a fever and we need help immediately（立即）

Claire： How long has he had a fever?

Roy: He has had a fever for the last few hours and will not eat. I am afraid he is sick(生病).

Claire: Have a seat(请坐) and we will get a doctor to see you right away（立刻）.
