I have been lucky to experiment my vision of teacher education (TE) in my piloted OBLcourses in recent years. I still feel the impact of those experiments in my present teaching. I take my experiment as a case study to address the question of what the generic learningoutcomes should be in the soul of any TE programme, namely, education studies domain. Here I propose an `organic model' that might promise the form of `signature pedagogy inteacher education'. It is the preliminary result of my long search for the baseline of teacher education proper in Hong Kong.
