The research in this paper aims to analyze the functions of eUCP with respect to their application in practice and the ability to introduce technological advances in the use of letter of credit; to review possible problems that might arise in the evaluation of eUCP; and to offer suggestions for their solution. To establish similarities and differences between UCP 500 and eUCP, the comparative method and content analysis were used for research and systematic analysis of scientific data. These results were then used in the review of electronic letter of credit functions and the problems that might arise in electronic presentations of letters of credit. The conclusion presents cases in introducing electronic media as a tool for presenting that the mentioned cases do not represent a significant difficulty in the use of eUCP, mainly because the problems are independent of the technology and the system of electronic trade.
