1. Network Setup and Security

First, you need to enable routing between interfaces on your server. Uncomment the relevant line by removing the hash symbol in front of it and save the file. After this change, your server will allow routing between interfaces even after a reboot.

If your server is the frontend device to the internet, it’s crucial to secure it. Good security practices can prevent unauthorized access.

Once the routing is set up, attach a network switch to your other network interface. Then, you can connect other wired Ethernet devices and a wireless access point to the switch. At this point, Ubuntu Server will manage your entire network.
