The difference of Post-Secondary education between USA and China

1.About burden

Amercian education from kindergarten to university, the burden is gradually increased.Their university and graduate stage is the beginning of the struggle of life.

In China,students begin to compete from primary school.so ,it is easy for you to understand why many students have got short-sightness before they go to university. When students enter univesrity, they spend more time on entertainment than study.

 

2.Interaction in classroom  (the situation of students in class)

Cinese class is a teacher-directed class ,which is very boring and deaden. Teacher’s duty is to give students large amount of knowledge and formalize their dialy behavior.Chinese students are well trained for the ability to solve fixed mode question by the teach-learn mode.Chinese students learn a lot but think a little and lack practical experience.

In Amercia,the class is lively and is student-directed.Teacher’s duty is to motivate and direct.Students have full fredom to interrupt and query their teachers.Students are trained more on the ability of thinking independently and soving practical problems in the form of groups.

 

The same:Many optional classes are available for Chinese and Amercian students to choose,depending on their own interests.

3.the relations between students and teachers

In Amercia,teachers are no longer authority,meanwhile students don’t have to carry out every instruction from their teachers,most of them have their own thoughts,they may pose questions and challenges to teachers.

 

In China,the relationship between teachers and students can be quite formal.

We are  taught since the first day when we go to the kindergarten that we should sit up straight and obey all the disciplines,in class we seldom challenge the teacher’s ideas.

 

Summary:

 Each country forms their own educational system in the long-term development process. So ,different education has to follw the society background.

 Either Chinese education or Amercia education has their own advantages and disadvantages to get a perfect solution to the problem,we recommed that Chinese students  develp more creativity and Amercian students pay more attention to the basic fundamentals.
