SoC 2008 Dojo IDE
Hi,
I think the best way to develop and debug an application is by using an application of the same nature and running in the same environment. For example, Eclipse or Netbeans are Java based applications that are used to develop and debug Java applications.
Therefore, I think a Dojo based IDE, to develop and debug Dojo applications, that is running in the same environment as the application being developed, is a better option than IDEs that run in other environments.
For example, a Dojo based IDE will have access to the already loaded Dojo libraries and the DOM tree in the browser's memory, so that it can provide better developer tools, such as, auto completion. Also it can dynamically load Dojo libraries using dojo.require from a list and insert the dojo.require command in the code.
