Brother MFC 8460N error cc3-003-00031c0e

ControlCenter3' unexpected errors occured few days ago. 

 

This occured when I was trying to scan a document to my PC. All these settings have worked before but suddenly I am getting this error message, I think.

 

It is so strange for this issue happened out of the blue, and I tried to recall all the operations I had done, but nothing except maybe some kinds of installation of little software tools. Would they have any side-effects to the configurations of my Brother printer and ControlCenter3, maybe they are so various but so little and normal and unrelated in my daily work and I could not even remember what kind of a software i had installed.

 

 

 

 

I tired to search any related topics on Google by key words like 'cc3-003-00031c0e', 'controlcenter error'..., but there are not any substantial clues.

• Even some related technical topics on Brother's Japanese website had been translated and studied over word for word under the help of the Google languange tool (http://solutions.brother.co.jp/public/faq/faq/000000/002100/000015/faq002115_004.html?prod=mfc100&Cat=).
• I tried to restart my computer, my Brother printer, respectively, and on different combined sequences. But, after trying again and again, I get the same error mesage.
• At last, I uninstall all related softwares of the Brother printer, including controlcenter, and even drivers, and reinstall them after restart both printer and client PC. While, I get the same error when i tried to start the 'SCAN' file.

But, I find I could use other SCAN functions, like scan file to 'OCR' or 'file' format. When I was comparing theirs configurations, I found the core clue that the key configration items of 'SCAN Imange' had been EMPTY. I believe I found the solutions.  Actually, SCAN function has run again once I specified its 'Target Application' and 'File Type'.
