Well after worked overtime till late night for the whole month, I am so tired both physically and mentally. Finally all the tests have past. I start to think why I am so busy.
Thought time after time, I am of the opinion that there are 3 reasons that force me to be busy:
1. Sudden new demand from the customer.
a) Most of time the customers have no clear idea what they want and need. And you need to encourage them, indicate them, guide them, and convince them that your product is what they want.
b) Well it’s not the customers’ fault, your rivals may provide better work and the customers may have new ideas. You need to have the insight and perspective that what’s the next work, and begin to implement it before schedule. And it’s your own duty to do the future work, not by the impulse from my boss.
2. Not sufficient preparation for the testing list.
Did not fully analyze the test list. Not every part of the list is suitable for your system, but I didn’t complain to my boss in time, so we have to discuss and refine the list when testing. Well it’s my fault. Actually I don’t have an optimistic perspective for the current customer so I was not fully involved in the test. Well it is not my job to decide which customer to serve, the only right thing for me to do is doing my job well.
3. Other team’s cooperation
a) All our teams work together, if one of our team falls, we are not success. My work’s being OK does not stands for all our system works well. So I would be more positive to offer help to other team, help them to analyze where the problem maybe.
b) Well, it’s not an easy job to be positive to other team. Their work is beyond my work range, and sometimes it’s offensive to offer too much help, especial to the sensitive person. So I need to be more patient and polite to offer my suggestion. Positive sometimes seems to be aggressive.
It’s not easy to be a good employee. I have a lot to learn.
