Resume on 7th JCT-VC meeting (HEVC meeting) in Geneva

Gary Sullivan (co-chair of JCT-VC) formulated a brief resume of the meeting:

1) Only one entropy coder (only CABAC)

2) Specific integer transform selected (Cisco’s proposal - my own comment)

3) 8 bit decoding selected as the primary emphasis for CD (Committee Draft) & profiles development

4) Numerous cleanups and simplifications (some giving compression gain, some not) in MV coding, inter mode coding, deblocking, adaptive loop filter, intra prediction, intra mode coding, ...

5) Stabilized and more complete high-level syntax & design for supporting reference picture buffering, tiles, slices, entropy slices, and wavefronts (no more MMCO and no more frame numbers!).
