The Legend of Computer

This article tells me how computer invented and classified into two kinds. In other word, it tells me the story of development of the Artificial Intelligence.

At first, the computer was invented to calculate. With the improvement of science and technology, people started to make computer more perfect. Actually, scientists give every instruction to computer in logic, so if the computer does its own things in logic and it has a control system, what is it like? This was recognized as a computer circle at that time, everyone thought it just likes a brain of human. On this basis, nervous system was quoted into the machine’s field.

When people try to make computer more alike as human, the problem appears: how to build its mind? They took human as a standard, distinguished it in two ways------one is “from up to down” (weak AI), which has knowledge and try to learn from human. The other is“from down to up” (strong AI), which has emotion and study like human. The former is easier, and human almost can apply it to many fields. For the latter, people have to understand how brain works and simulate it. That is really a difficult problem for human nowadays, and we hardly could solve this “century problem” so far.

Although building a perfect AI system is quite difficult, the people never stop their step during the research, whether in the past or future.
