Six European countries have begun to pay in cryptocurrency

According to cryptoglobe, the Estonian cryptocurrency payment processor Paytomat will promote merchants across Europe to accept cryptocurrency payments. The supported cryptocurrencies include BTC, BCH, ETH, LTC, EOS, DASH, XEM and so on. Currently, more than 329 merchants in six European countries (Ukraine, Georgia, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Poland) are using Paytomat for cryptocurrency payments.

1. Pay on the fruits and vegetables with cryptocurrency

Estonia’s crypto payment processor, Paytomat helps the real world accept cryptocurrencies by making it easier for merchants across Europe to accept payments from all major cryptocurrencies.

Customers can pay with any of their favorite cryptocurrency wallets or Paytomat wallet apps (for iOS and Android). Once the customer chooses which cryptocurrency to pay, he/she is shown a QR code, and once the customer sends funds to the wallet address, Paytomat settles in the merchant’s local legal currency and notifies the merchant of the payment.

A good example is the “Bessarabsky Market” in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine. Located in the heart of Kiev, this market is very popular with locals, expatriates, and tourists. It mainly sells high quality fruits and vegetables, albeit at a higher price.

According to a report by the Ukrainian news media Bykvu on August 31, some merchants in the market have recently started accepting cryptocurrency payments like dash coins (by using Paytomat payment processors).

Here’s a tweet from Paytomat CEO Yuriy Olentyr, showing a photo of a fresh produce show in the market that accepts cryptocurrency payments:

2. What benefits will this bring to the market?

According to marketing director Nikolay Kovalchuk, accepting cryptocurrency payments will provide customers with new experiences and attract new cryptocurrency enthusiasts, as increasing customer trust is a way to increase sales.

ForkLog, who spoke with Paytomat’s Ukrainian business director Aleksandr Kurinnoi, was told that the program was designed to demonstrate the simplicity of using EOS coin-like cryptocurrencies in everyday life, known as Babushka (“Grandmother” in English).

Paytomat currently offers three different payment methods:

· Through POS terminal

· Through the network panel

· Pass a QR code (as in the case of the fruit seller of the Bessarabsky market)

In the third quarter of 2018, Paytomat plans to implement payments through chat bots (telegraphs), and in the fourth quarter of 2018, it plans to increase support for online payments through a free e-commerce plug-in.

3. What benefits does this bring to the cryptocurrency?

Using cryptocurrency payment, you can know where each money goes, because cryptocurrency is traceable, and cryptocurrency and legal currency are different, which can save the cost of banknote issuance, circulation, and settlement. The cryptocurrency like nem coin has lower issuance cost. The advantages of lower transaction costs, traceability, and higher cost of fraud, therefore, cryptocurrency is a future trend.

The “marking” and “traceability” of cryptocurrencies can improve the convenience and transparency of economic trading activities. At the same time, with the application of blockchain technology, a unified national and even worldwide book will be established, so that every money can be traced, tax evasion and money laundering will be within the scope of supervision, and it is even possible to automatically deduct tax on the credit card machine.

Shifts in China’s Rural and Urban Population: 2000-2020 The bar chart clearly reveals that from 2000 to 2020, while the total population in China increased moderately from 1.25 billion to 1.41 billion, population in urban and rural areas experienced dramatic shifts in different directions. Urban population rose from 450 million in 2000 to 670 million in 2010 and 900 million in 2020; contrastingly, rural population declined from 800 million in 2000 to 680 million in 2010 and 510 million in 2020. The population gap narrowed largely because of the joint effects of urbanization, unequal economic opportunities in rural and urban areas, and the expansion of higher education. In the first place, there was a large-scale urban sprawl during this period. Places which had been part of the vast countryside were incorporated into cities, causing hundreds of millions of rural dwellers to be passively transformed into urban residents. What’s more, while urban living standards improved greatly in these years, few economic opportunities fell on rural areas and most peasant families remained at the poverty line. Poverty prompted the call for change, leading a large quantity of healthy young peasants to leave their hometowns and flock to cities for a better living. Last but not least, China’s higher education grew at an unprecedented rate in these years. More high school graduates than ever before entered colleges and universities, most of whom preferred to stay in urban areas after graduation for personal development. The increase in urban population was a sure indication of economic and educational achievements in China. It benefited the country in many aspects, relieving the shortage of labor force in cities, lessening the burden of peasants to support their families, and affording young people from rural areas more opportunities to display their talents. However, the migration of rural residents into urban areas inevitably brought about disadvantages. Some of them, such as waste of arable land and left-behind children in the countryside, as well as traffic congestion and soaring housing prices in cities, have already called the attention of the government and corresponding measures have begun to take effect. But others, especially the inability of many peasants to integrate into urban life due to their lack of education and civilized habits, have long been neglected. In this sense, we cannot be satisfied with the superficially optimistic figures in the chart, but should endeavor to foster the integration of these newcomers by providing them with adequate assistance in educational and cultural aspects, so that they can find easier access to the prosperity and convenience of urban life and be more fully devoted to the development of cities.翻译成英文版两百单词左右的文章
