[b]What Makes Us Unique and Different[/b]
We know Microsoft by Windows and Office, we know Google by its search engine, and we know Apple by Mac and iPod. I always keep asking myself: What makes me unique and different? What makes all of us, the employees of CSTS, unique and different?
[b]IT + Finance[/b]
You may ask: we have IT + Agriculture, we have IT + Manufacturing, we can have lots of similar pairs if we like, why is IT + Finance so special? It's because the influence that information technology imposes on the finance is very big. IT accelerates the development of finance, then we have global finance market today. It enriches the finance products, like CDS, which is based on complicated mathematics model and computing system. It even changes the way of finance practitioner’s thinking, the way on which the business is done. IT leads to emergence of NASDAQ and ECNs.

IT is no longer a tool, it becomes the key factor that drives the finance to move forward. The convergence between IT and finance becomes closer and tighter. As a technology person, we is and will continue benefiting from this.
[b]China + Citi[/b]
CSTS is a subsidiary of Citi, and we also backed by huge Chinese marketplace.

Citi is one of the biggest finance corporations with centuries-old history, and it supports the customers around the world with world-class products. For example, Unit VI in ICG joint-developed the CMOs/CDS system which is used by users from US, UK and Japan. We learned a lot from developing and supporting such live systems.

At the same time, we have the opportunity to apply these knowledge to our real life. China, especially Shanghai, is planning to grow into world’s finance center. Then too much IT infrastructure systems need to be developed. Every time I read the email from ICG weekly events, I find there is lots of business that is not even heard in Chinese marketplace. I know, these all are chance for us.
[b]Sub-prime crisis[/b]
I know there are many people who can’t agree on my point, but I would like to regard sub-prime crisis is as optimal opportunity for emerging markets like China to develop their finance market. Similiarly, For CSTS, something that is considered God’s truth will be not workable, while other things that is impossible before will become doable. So to speak, the difficult year – 2008 for Citi may be a key milestone for CSTS.

Of couse, everything is changing. The uniqueness and difference today will be aged out by lots of follower. The uniqueness and difference can lead us to success, only if we do the right thing at the right time point.
