The Language of Music

The student of music needs as long and as [color=red]arduous [/color]a training to become a performer as a medical student needs to become a doctor . Most training [color=red]is concerned with [/color]technique , for musicians have to have the [color=red]muscular [/color][color=red]proficiency [/color]of an athlete or a [color=red]ballet [/color]dancer . The singers practice breathing every day , as their [color=red]vocal chords[/color] would be [color=red]inadequate [/color]without controlled muscular support . String players practice moving the fingers of the left hand up and down , while [color=red]drawing the bow[/color] to and [color=red]fro [/color]with the right arm -- two [color=red]entirely [/color]different movements .
