Installing 10g on HPUX on A9000/800--->Day 1, Preparation

Day 1:  Preparation

Two cpio file downloaded from otn and ftp to the A9000/800. And cpio -ibvmc < ...... to extract the source into Disk1 and Disk2 directory.

Set env variable. OMY, the HP system was used to compile form applications thus there are a lot of rubbish env settings related to Oracle AS. I have to backup it and remove it first. Well it's done finally and the backup files are cp into ~oracle/bkupenv/ directory in case that our poor form guy will need it again

Well it's time to install 10g. Login from Xmanager, in terminal windows, I typed ./runInstaller. Oh damn it, this version of Oracle DB can only be installed on HP-UX B.11.11. I unamed and got B.11.0. Oh, it seems I have to find a upgrade from HP. Hope it's available.

Mission Aborted, I can not get the damn B.11.11 version of HP-UX
