How to configure SmartPhone for debugging in VS 2008

本文介绍了一种在WM手机上进行应用程序调试的方法。首先通过PC端的远程注册表编辑器设置SmartPhone的安全策略，然后安装诊断工具包中的System_SR_ENU_wm.cab文件，完成这些步骤后即可开始调试。

Steps below:

1. In PC side, Start->All programs->Microsoft Visual studio 2008->Visual studio remote tools->Open “Remote registry editor”->Select the opened SmartPhone to open it.

2. Change HKLM>Security>Policies>Policies , value = 0000101B DWORD = 1

Okay, that’s all. You can debug now!

If you cannot debug your solution as the steps, continue the follow steps:

3. Copy the System_SR_ENU_wm.cab from C:/Program Files (x86)/Microsoft.NET/SDK/CompactFramework/v2.0/WindowsCE/Diagnostics to the SmartPhone.

4. In SmartPhone side, setup System_SR_ENU_wm.cab from “File Explorer”.

5. You can debug now.
