Set up Solaris 8 ,I met the problem that the I can't login the GUI.

Anyway I can run command lines on it.

So I run as follow,

 # prtconf -pv > /tmp/prt
 # less /tmp/prt

Looking for the video information ,then I get the ATI infor.

(NOTE:Only these info is not enough .And you have to google more info about Host machine and Monitor .So you'd better run kdmconfig ,then to copy a config-copy in case lose the original configuration after you get the GUI successfully)

And the monitor infor should search on google .

Then run kdmconfig to configure the Video Devices :
