Keyboard shortcuts can help to speed things up. Tooltips show useful information. And with a customized toolbar, additional buttons are available.
1. Keyboard shortcuts
You can use a powerful set of keyboard shortcuts to speed up your workflow. These are our favorites:
CMD+D to access the Dashboard.
CMD+1 to switch to the Status view.
CMD+2 to switch to the Commits view.
CMD+3 to switch to the Browse view.
CMD + ALT + P to pull from remote.
Shift + CMD + ALT + P to push to the remote.
Finally a combo shortcut: to commit without using the mouse hit CMD+ALT+C, type your message, and CMD+Return (or Enter) to confirm.
2. Customize toolbar

Customize Tower’s toolbar to get additional buttons such as “Rebase”, “Reveal in Finder” or “Open in Terminal”. Simply right-click on the toolbar and choose “Customize Toolbar” or go through Tower’s menu (View > Customize Toolbar).
3. Tooltips

Tooltips give you more info on almost all the items in the sidebar. Just mouse over the item to see the additional info.
