Hi I have passed SCWCD 5 today with 95%.

Now I am planning to do SCEA 5 certification next. So could you please suggest the study material/books and sites for preparation.

Thanks.

Out of these Which all are required for Part 1 or all of them are required for Part1.

Could you please provide the download links of these books.

Thanks!!!!

You need to buy them. There is no download link. If you want to save money then you can just read Cade's books and j2ee tutorial from sun.

It is enough to get you a good score.

I have a suggestion. If you don't have much budget. Try Google book search (http://books.google.com/), it's a great website to read books online.
However, not every page is available, but it's still very good because it's free.

You should have knowledge about JSPs/Servlets as well.

No Budget isn't a constraint but if these books are available for download I could download these books....anyways ...

Back to my first question ..... Which all of the suggested books are required for Part 1 or all of them are required for Part1?

Thanks!!!

You should read all of the books I suggest, but no need to read every page or study in depth detail, because SCEA part 1 questions are high level.

You should also study RMI, and JMS from Sun's websites.

I could not say any book is "required", because you can take SCEA part 1 without reading any books, but if you want to pass you should read objectives, and study from books that cover the objectives.

If you want to be a software architect, I strongly recommend you to read Domain-Driven Design, even though, it's not directly related to SCEA, but it is a great book that every software developer/designer/architect should read.

Hello

I have started preparing for SCEA 5 PART1 EXAM , I am focusing on following topics

1. Design Pattern
2.J2EE tutorial
3.UML
4.EJB3.0
5.JPA
6.JSF
7.JCA
8. Security

Please let me know , this is sufficient to clear the part 1 , or I need to refer some more topics

Eagerly waiting for reply

Thanks & Regards

You don't need to study UML for part 1.

About design patterns, you need to study both Design Patterns [GoF], and Core J2EE Design Patterns.
You should study Java Web Services, JMS, RMI, JNDI as well.
