Symptoms

You are trying to install 10.1.3.1 SOA with 11g Oracle database and a pop-up appears with the following error:

ERROR

-----------

"Database version should be 9.2.0.7 or higher in the Oracle 9i Database 

Release 2 series, 10.1.0.5 or higher in the Oracle Database 10g Release 1 

series, Oracle Database XE (10.2.0.1), 10.2.0.2 or higher in the Oracle 

Database 10g Release 2 series."

Cause

This error is caused by one or all of the followings:

1. If the error appears before running IRCA then you maybe facing unpublished BUG 12118056 - 10.1.3.1 SOA INSTALL FAILS AGAINST 11G DATABASE

2. If you have JDK 1.6 installed and the error appears when running IRCA then you are facing unpublished Bug 8667108 BASE SOA 10135 IRCA AGAINST 10G DATABASE

Solution

1. If you are facing BUG 12118056 - 10.1.3.1 SOA INSTALL FAILS AGAINST 11G DATABASE, then please download and apply Patch 6265268.

2. If you are facing Bug 8667108 - BASE SOA 10135 IRCA AGAINST 10G DATABASE, then use the following work around:
   2.1. Set your JAVA_HOME environment variable to a jdk1.5 or 1.4 installation.
   2.2. Run the IRCA script.
   2.3. Set your JAVA_HOME back to jdk1.6

download the patch and replace the file:it's succeed to execute runintall///

This patch allows Oracle Application Server 10.1.3.1 SOA installation to use Oracle 11g databases. 

This patch fixes the following bugs:

  6265268 10.1.3.1SOA INSTALL FAILS AGAINST 11G DATABASE

To use this patch, the CD must be copied to a writable location. After copying the CD, do a one-for-one replacement with the files listed below replaced by the ones included in the patch:

         For 10.1.3.1 SOA:
          DBConnectQueries.jar
             
	     Disk1/stage/Queries/DBConnectQueries/8.4/1/DBConnectQueries.jar

          IP_DBQueries.jar

             Disk1/stage/Queries/IP_DBQueries/3.0/1/IP_DBQueries.jar
