Dear Families
October went by so fast, and we all had a great time celebrating Halloween at Morgan Rothschild Academy. Also this month’s field trip to the Sculpture Park was a great success. All the children who were able to come had a great time with all our planned activities.
This time of year is full of happiness and celebrations. The next big Holiday is Thanksgiving, a holiday celebrated primarily in the United States and Canada. Thanksgiving is celebrated each year on the second Monday of October in Canada and on the fourth Thursday of November in the United States. Thanksgiving in Canada falls on the same day as Columbus Day in the United States. Because of the longstanding traditions of the holiday, the celebration often extends to the weekend that falls closest to the day it is celebrated.
Traditional the celebration is a dinner with the family. Just a reminder that the Parent Teacher Conference for the Preschool class room fall on November 28th and November 29th. Please look at the letter sent home to schedule a time to meet with me on either of those two days. I would love to be able to tell you how wonderful your child is doing in my class. A few parents have already requested times so please request your available spots early if your schedules are difficult.
Looking ahead to December, we are already preparing for the Christmas
concert. Your students will be learning one English and one Chinese song to be performed by our children and two others to be performed by the entire school. I am very excited and confident that you will be very proud of the your child’s best efforts.
