Tim O’reilly 在自己的博客文章《Books That Have Shaped How I Think》中列举了对自己影响深远的一些书籍。
- The Golden Warrior, Hope Muntz's classic novel of Harold, last of the Saxon kings
- The Meaning of Culture
- The Way of Life According to Lao Tzu (Tao Te Ching), translated by Witter Bynner.
- The Palm at the End of the Mind, by Wallace Stevens.
- Rasselas, by Samuel Johnson.
- Colin Wilson's The Outsider
- An Introduction to Realistic Philosophy, by John Wild.
- Science and Sanity, by Alfred Korzybski.
- Rissa Kerguelen, by F.M. Busby
- Islandia, by Austin Tappan Wright.
- The Lymond Chronicles, by Dorothy Dunnett.
- Dune, by Frank Herbert.
- The Structure of Scientific Revolutions, by Thomas Kuhn.
- Code and Other Laws of Cyberspace, by Larry Lessig.
- The Unix Programming Environment, by Brian Kernighan and Rob Pike.
- On Writing Well, by William Zinsser.
- The Innovator's Dilemma, by Clayton Christensen.
- Built to Last, by James Collins and Jerry Porras.(就是《基业长青》)
- Positioning, and The 22 Immutable Laws of Marketing by Al Ries and Jack Trout.
