The Empire's Solo Rank 1-10 Guide

In his interview with TenTonHammer.com Mythic’s General Manager Mark Jacobs stated that, “Right now, the fastest way to level is through scenarios”.

In this guide you will get a very simple walk-through on how to level as quickly as possible as an Empire Character. If you follow these simple steps you will be able to solo from rank 1-10 in about 6 hours.


Step One: Once your new character is logged in grab all of the available quests in your immediate area. Be sure to get the quest from the Griffon Sergeant for the repeatable Nordenwatch quest. Once you have accepted that quest get in the queue for the Nordenwatch scenario. While waiting for the scenario to “pop” complete quests in the area. When you are finished with the scenario turn in the quest and get it again. Repeat the scenario several times until you reach rank 5.

Step Two: When you have reached rank 5 head north along the road towards Empire Chapter 2. You will find another NPC there who gives the repeatable Nordenwatch quest. This is one of the few areas where you will find a Hedge Wizard. Talk to the Hedge wizard if you want to learn the Talisman Making craft. Don’t bother with the quests here unless you really want to do them. Just turn in any quests you can, train any skills you can, learn a craft if you want, and move on.

Step Three: Continue on your journey to rank 10 by running to the Empire war camp. Here you will find that not only do you get the repeatable quest for Nordenwatch, but you also get a repeatable quest to kill enemy players (Rupert Pfieffer gives this quest, and the quest is called “Scarlet Tide”). Repeating both of these quests over and over is the fastest way to rank 10 for empire characters. While you are waiting for scenarios to “pop” be sure to do as many quests as possible around the war camp.

I hit rank 10 in 6 hours on a Warrior Priest on a fairly busy server, but it was during the day so the scenarios weren’t coming as fast as I would’ve liked. Anyone else got suggestions how to do it faster?

Some Final Tips:

You get experience at the end of the scenario based on how many points your realm has. Do whatever it takes to get 500 points each time.

Try to stay alive as much as possible because you don’t get experience from enemy kills while dead. This sounds obvious, but while your dead you don’t get the experience if you nearly killed someone then died right before they got finished off.

Scenarios come much quicker when more players are on, so playing during peak hours is very helpful for this strategy.
