What are the RPCs and why are they recommended ?

Since the release of 12.1.3 a number of very important fixes have been made to the Oracle SLA application. Many of these fixes affect Critical Business Processes such as Period Close and are observed as reoccurring very often in the Installed Base.

Adoption of these important fixes is highly recommended, so consolidating them into a single Recommended Patch Collection has been done to facilitate this Proactive activity.

The RPC is a collection of such recommended patches that was created with the following goals in mind:

• Stability:Address issues that occur often as observed by Oracle Development and Global Customer Support and that interfere with the normal completion of crucial Business Processes such as Period Close.
• Root Cause Fixes:Deliver a final fix (root cause) to most Data Integrity issues as well as performancefixes that often are encountered.
• Compact:Whilst bundling a large number of important corrections keep the file footprint as small as possible to facilitate uptake and minimize testing.
• Reliable:Reliable code with multiple customer downloads and comprehensive testing from QA and Support
• Granular:Depending on your needs you can choose to uptake all RPCs or one by one.
