Cara Dillon卡拉·迪伦是当下爱尔兰最具号召力的女歌手。　　
　她出生于1975年，来自一个爱尔兰传统音乐世家。她的声音如此清透美丽而极具风格，让观众们觉得相间恨晚。用这样一句话来形容Cara Dillon不足为过：Cara Dillon是个不寻常的天才！

1992–1995

　　十四岁时在Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann赢得“全爱尔兰歌唱大奖赛”

　　1992年她和学校朋友Murrough，Ruardhrai O'Kane组建了Oige（爱尔兰语意为“青春”）乐队。Dillon和Oige乐队录制了两张专辑：一张录音室版和一张现场版专辑。

　　1995–2000

　　1995年Dillon在接受民谣乐队Equation的邀请，离开Oige了，取代Kate Rusby的位置。

　　1995-1996的冬季于Peter Gabriel的 Realworld Studios录制他们的一张专辑Return to Me。

　　因为音乐的分歧，Dillon和原乐队成员Sam Lakeman离开了Equation，然后他们一起与原唱片公司签署了独立的合约。这个二人组合被称为Polar Star（北斗星）。

　　2001–2007

　　Cara Dillon作为最佳女性被授予Meteor Irish Music Award（爱尔兰流星音乐奖）。

　　2006年2月27日，Dillon的第三张专辑After the Morning发布。这张专辑是迄今制作时间最长的一个并且以几次客串为特色。

　　2008-至今

　　Cara和Sam离开Rough Trade，创立了Charcoal Records。

　　2008年1月，Dillon和她的乐队录制了一张名为The Redcastle Sessions的DVD。于2008年6月发布。
