Job Description: The EMC Solutions Group is seeking the principal level engineer for the Strategic Solution Engineering Team. The group consists of exceptional Systems Engineers who characterize EMC’s midrange storage arrays and related products with productsapplications like Microsoft Exchange, SQL, SharePoint? , Oracle operating in virtualized computing environments. , Virtualization, High Performance Computing, and more. As a member of this team you would be responsible for the creation of EMC Proven Solutions in virtualized environments that align customer, partner, marketing, and product goals. Our goals are to enable our customers, educate our field representatives and shape the company and industry.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
The effective Solutions Engineer will possess the following skills, knowledge, experience, aptitude, and attitude:
- In-depth understanding of mission critical systems implementations including High Availability (HA), backup recovery and archival (BURA), and disaster recovery (DR)
- Working knowledge of deploying and maintaining applications in VMware and Hyper-V a virtualized environments
- In-depth understanding of Storage Area Networking (SAN), Network Attached Storage (NAS), and networking protocols such as Ethernet and Fiber Channel
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills are imperative
- Strong system administration knowledge of Windows, Linux, VMware, and virtualization technologies
- Experience with EMC hardware
- Experience with EMC software like PowerPath? , SnapView? , Replication Manager, NetWorker? , or Ionix is a plus
- Ability to effectively participate in cross-functional teams, and own multiple deadline-driven projects simultaneously
- Eloquent writing and communication skills are a must
- Experience 6-8 Years
