VirtualBox 3.1.0 Beta1 版本引入了多项新特性，包括活迁移（Teleportation）、从任意快照恢复虚拟机状态、2D 视频加速、运行时更改网络连接类型等。此外，该版本还提供了针对 PAE 和 AMD64 客户操作系统的显著性能改进，并实验性地支持了 EFI 和 VirtIO 网络设备。

Significant performance improvements for PAE and AMD64 guests (VT-x and AMD-V only; normal (non-nested) paging)
Experimental support for EFI (Extended Firmware Interface)
VirtIO network device support

VirtualBox 3.1.0 Beta 1存在的问题：

Snapshots of VMs with multiple attached disk images is broken. Please do not use snapshots with such VMs
Snapshots of VMs with empty DVD attachments is broken
Snapshots with immutable images not expected to work correctly
