If you get this error in your logs when trying to setup public key authenticated automatic logins, the problem is a permissions one.

You'll need to perform the following commands on the user account you are trying to setup:

chmod go-w ~/
chmod 700 ~/.ssh
chmod 600 ~/.ssh/authorized_keys

使用ssh免密登陆时出现：Authentication refused: bad ownership or modes for directory /root.ssh目录权限不对/root目录权限问题前提条件（请仔细阅读！）需要登陆到问题机器操作，请仔细阅读如果机器没有其他用户，当前有终端连着该机器，请不要断开！请不要断开！请不要断开！否则就再也连不上了。如果当前机器有其他用户（可以正常登陆并切换到root），那就通过该用户登陆机器，修改root目录权限 .ssh目录权限不对 /root/.

从字面上可以看出是目录的属主和权限配置不当，查找资料得知：SSH不希望home目录和~/.ssh目录对组有写权限，通过下面几条命令改下。然后敲（三个回车），就会生成两个文件id_rsa（私钥）、id_rsa.pub（公钥）chmod 600 /home/你的用户名/.ssh/authorized_keys。node2上采用root账号，配置一下无密登录到node2、node3、node4；上采用itwise账号配置一下无密登录到node2、node3、node4服务器。rsa_id权限必须为600)
