?can't install the aoe driver..
1.download the kernel source
  apt-cache search linux-source
  sudo apt-get install linux-source-a.b.c
2.already download the source of kernel but make oldconfig fail..
  sudo apt-get install build-essential linux-headers-`uname -r`
3.make oldconfig;make;make modules-install;


?Fail to install the 7.10 with CD in a 21'' wide screen LCD monitor....
error msg is like:the display server fail restart for 10 times...
try to install with a 15'' monitor.ok.

The gnome-terminal uses a termcap file for its basic settings. To change these:

sudo gedit /usr/share/vte/termcap/xterm

Now look for a line about 1/3 of the way down the file that looks like this:

To change the number of columns, change the co# number, in this case 80.
To change the number of rows, change the li# number, in this case 24.
So as an example if you want a terminal window of 132x25:

You must exit all gnome-terminal proceses before the changes take effect.


?make menuconfig fail, error: KEY_LEFT undeclared...
because the libncurses5-dev is not installed.
but when i try to install that package..the apt-get says can't find it.
look into the /etc/apt/sourcelist and find the source is the fucking...
