1. Add alias in configuration file "~/.bash_profile":
alias ls='ls -G'
2. If it is the first time to add configuration file, use following command to make it work:
source .bash_profile
3. Enable "sudo" in Mac terminal
By default, the "sudo" is not enabled for standard user.
To enable it, log in as admin user and run:
sudo visudo
It is a VI based editor to open sudo profile. Add following to standard user:
XX ALL=(ALL) ALL
Then with standard user "sudo" could be used with standard user password.
4. Configure Emacs
alias emacs='/Applications/Emacs.app/Contents/MacOS/Emacs --no-splash -nw'
