how to delete Legacy Project Portal

Precondition:

 

When you have deleted the project than try to create the same name project on one projectcollection

system will promt project created failure: the same name project portal has already exist.

 

How to Resolved ?

1. go to ProjectCollection site 

Sample:  Http:(serverIP)/sites/DefaultCollection/default.aspx

 

2. Site Settings > Sites and Workspaces  

 

3. Click the Legacy project portal, > click delete button 

 

You will create project on the projectcollection successfully
