Often, v$rollstat.status has 4 values whitch are ONLINE,PENDING OFFLINE,OFFLINE,FULL.
I have seen unknown in v$rollstat.status.
what does It meaning?

The following query will tell what the actual value of the internal flag

select bitand(kturdflg,127)
from x$kturd
where bitand(ktrudflg,127) not in (0, 2, 3, 4);

In addition to the above known values ... 16 (hex 10) is also a known value ... if the query returns this value ... it means that the undo segment is in a transitional state (ie moving from one status to another) ... and usually can be ignored.

x$kturd is the base of v$rollstat.
