vmware-tools安装

1.
VM--&gtsettings--&gt此时就会有把VMware-tools文件映像到CD－ROM中
2.
cp VMwareTools-6.0.2-59824.tar.gz /tmp
cd /tmp
--文件解压拆包到目录vmware-tools-distrib
tar zxvf VMwareTools-6.0.2-59824.tar.gz
3.
--切换到单用户模式
init 1
--切换根用户
su -
cd vmware-tools-distrib
./vmware-install.pl
./bin/vmware-config-tools.pl
4.
--重启
init 6
--或直接进入图形界面
startx
开终端执行如下命令启用vmware tools:
/usr/bin/vmware-toolbox

安装过程遇到的问题：
　　主机：win xp sp2 虚拟机：VMWARE GSX 在其上安装AS4。
　　现象：能够进入图形界面，但是总是提示没有安装VMWARE Tools。具体如下：
一.安装过程报如下错误:
>su - root
>./tmp/vmware-tools-distrib/vmware-install.pl
　　In which directory do you want to install the binary files?
　　[/usr/bin]
　　What is the directory that contains the init directories (rc0.d/ to rc6.d/)?
　　[/etc/rc.d]
　　What is the directory that contains the init scripts?
　　[/etc/rc.d/init.d]
　　In which directory do you want to install the daemon files?
　　[/usr/sbin]
　　In which directory do you want to install the library files?
　　[/usr/lib/vmware-tools]
　　The path "/usr/lib/vmware-tools" does not exist currently. This program is goingto create it, including needed parent directories. Is this what you want?
　　[yes]
　　In which directory do you want to install the documentation files?
　　[/usr/share/doc/vmware-tools]

　　Unmounting the Tools ISO image mnt/cdrom .
　　The installation of VMware Tools 4.5.2 build-8848 for Linux completed

　　Before running VMware Tools for the first time, you need to configure it by
　　invoking the following command: "/usr/bin/vmware-config-tools.pl". Do you want

　　This configuration program is to be executed out of an XFree86 session. Please
　　shut down all instances of XFree86.
　　Execution aborted.
二.原因：没有配置该工具。vmware-config-tools.pl需要根据你的显示器分辨率进行配置，然后才能加强鼠标功能。
　　解决：需要进行如下操作：
　　#init 1（保证在超级用户模式下，进入文字界面）
　　然后输入
　　login：root
　　password：
　 再次执行vmware-config-tools.pl
　　然后根据提示设置，完成后输入>init 6
reboot一下就可以完成了。

关掉linux 的防火墙：chkconfig iptables off

启动级别:
init 0：停机
init 1：单用户形式，只root进行维护
init 2：多用户，不能使用net file system
init 3：完全多用户 (字符模式)
init 5：图形化
init 6：重启

后记:
安装vmware-tools的最初目的是使用文件共享功能,
安装完成后鼠标能自动切换,但vmware GSX--&gtVM--&gtSettings--&gtOptions里面却没有share folder,在网上查的都是workstation配置有明确有该选项,有几个都问为什么GSX中没有,也没有解答,不知道是不是GSX没有提供该功能.
