Use a keyboard shortcut to

set a specific view depth
Start depth: Ctrl-<digit>
End depth: <digit>

increment the view depth
Increment from depth: Ctrl-Shift-‘>’
Increment to depth: ‘>’

decrement the view depth
Decrement from depth: Ctrl-Shift-‘<’
Decrement to depth: ‘<‘

set the maximum end depth
