Migrate tickets from mantis to JIRA

Here is an article about loading tickets from Mantis to JIRA -http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Importing+Data+From+Mantis. We can follow this article once we need to do the migration in the future.

 

I had a try on it and It’s basically easy to migrate. Full information can be migrated to JIRA

1)      Status (can configure the status mapping from mantis toJIRA when migrate)

2)      Attachments

3)      Comments

4)      User information (password needs to reset)

5).     All other information, like create date, update date

6)      Easily connect to mantis after configure the prefix of the “import Id” as following chart

    

change following information from file - C:\Program Files\Atlassian\JIRA 4.3.3\atlassian-jira\WEB-INF\classes\jira-application.properties

jira.importid.prefix = http://bugtrack.meds.morningstar.com/bugtrack/view.php?id=

This will makes the import id to be connected to mantis individual ticket
