Senior Software Engineer (QA)

RESPONSIBILITIES

v  Assist in defining and implementing process and practices for Test Governance with FX Platform

v  Develop test automation artifacts for all application tiers. E.g. GUI, Web Services, API, Database etc...

v  Communicate with NY/LN teams for the requirements and testing details. Collaborate and partner closely with development leads, test leads and production support teams to ensure that software is tested to highest quality.

v  Foster a spirit of innovation and collaboration in regards to Testing

v  Responsible mentoring of junior team members if needed

KEY REQUIREMENTS

v  Technical Skills Required (Must)

-          Proven ability to develop functional automation using an industry standard functional testing tools e.g. QTP, Selenium, etc...

-          Strong background in functional and/ or non functional testing for enterprise applications following iterative and agile methodologies.

-          Intermediate level programming skills e.g. VBScript, Java, C / C++

-          Intermediate level SQL skills

-          Basic UNIX / Linux skills

v  Technical Skills Required (Optional)

-          Experience in writing range of Test artifacts; Test Plan, Test Cases, Test Reports etc…

v  Non-Technical Skills Required

-          Minimum 3 years experience in Testing, ideally worked for a large scale web site or application testing

-          Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

-          Must have good written and oral English communication skills

-          A self-starter who can deliver well as part of a team

-          Self motivated individual and creative thinker who will take ownership and accountability

-          B.S. in Computer Science or related field

v  Business Skills Required (Optional)

-          Understanding of basic financial market concepts would be advantageous.

-          Have a sound macro view of the working of Global financial markets
