　8月28日，在美国首都华盛顿附近的迈尔堡军事基地，一名从伊拉克返回的美军士兵与孩子团聚。当天，美国陆军第三步兵团C连大约120名官兵结束在伊拉克的战斗任务，返回迈尔堡军事基地与亲友团聚。
