Creating the ActiveX Scripting engine failed. The Scripting engine is probably not correctly registered or CLSID is incorrect. The result code is 0x80004005

Problem(Abstract)

When using IBM® Rational® ClearQuest® Web, the following error is being generated: "Creating the ActiveX Scripting engine failed. Scripting engine is probably not correctly registered or CLSID incorrect. Result code is 0x80004005".

Cause

This error can occur if the Security Settings in Microsoft® Internet Explorer are set too high. This can be verified by lowering the security via the Internet Settings. Select : Control Panel > Internet Options > Security Settings

Resolving the problem

This error might also occur if an earlier version of ActiveX is running. On the machine that is receiving the error message you might need to install a later version of Windows Script.
