work related complaints

    I complained a lot in today's team meeting, and I don't know if my complaints irate other people, but I just spoke out what I wanted to say even in front of the big boss.

    Actually I only raised three items, even if I still had others, because I need leave enough time for other staffs. Below was the items I raised today.

    1. Conversion

     Currently, we are working on three projects at the same time, and most of the functions are similar, but each project still has their own requirement. And we are trying to make the programs and functions be common for three countries, but the problem is there is nobody who is doing the high level control of all three projects, and the result is most of the problems and errors encountered by the first projects will be encountered also by the following two, I suggest we can assign somebody to do the job.

    2. Online

     I always encounter such issues that users say they have the requirement of doing this and that, but it is not in the functional specification, so these issues can't be taked as pending requirement issues. But if it is pending, team leaders should be responsible to do what they need to do to make the issue be finalized. Only if team leaders do so, we can decrease our efforts and workload, and even no need to work overtime so frequently.

    3. Online and conversion

    Actually online and conversion, they are always along with each other. I don't want to say how important conversion is and how important online should be, my concern is how can we make conversion teams and online teams work together more effectively. If the one who does data conversion doesn't know how online or functionality process, how can they do the design and analysis, but this happens in our company.

    It's just my view or feeling today, if you don't agree, nevermind, just forget it, :-)
