概述：

This criterion assesses the extent to which the student establishes the scientificcontext for the work, states a clear and focused research question, and usesconcepts and techniques appropriate to the IB Diploma Programme level. Where appropriate, this criterion also assesses awareness of safety, environmental,and ethical considerations.

需要几乎具有所有下面描述的特征才能得到满分6:
从Introduction看：
- The research question is clearly stated in the introduction./Introduction中明确称述了研究问题。
从Researchquestion 和Variables看：
- The research question has sufficient scope and is sharplyfocused./研究问题有足够的范围且重点突出。
- All relevant variables were identified: independent, dependent, control variables./确定了所有的相关变量：自变量、应变量、控制变量。
从Background看：
Theoretical background to investigation is explained./解释了研究问题的理论背景。
从Material list看：
- A complete list of materials and apparatus was given–including sizes, concentrations, precision where possible./给出了材料和设备的完整清单——如尺寸、浓度、精度。
从Method/Procedure看：
- An appropriate method is used, i.e., a method that allows the collection of sufficient and relevant data. 采用了合适的实验方法，即采用的方法能收集足够多且相关的数据。
