CoverGirl Lip Perfection and the search for the best red lipstick
I like things simple. Well, most of the time. I’d like it very much if I can find the best way to streamline my work and activities, including all the idiosyncratic routines than I go through everyday. Makeup and skin care have been cautiously classified under the uncommon love-hate affinity. Love what they do for me, hate the work required. If only I can do magic or that I was born perfect but then again, that’s the inner lethargic me talking. It is more fulfilling a life if one works toward getting what they want, works with what they are given and develops to their fullest potential. However, I go back to what I had first said — I try to keep things simple. Embracing a skincare regimen (et. al.) that sits well with my schedule. And, now, wearing makeup only if I have to (or I think I need to, haha).
When it comes to lipstick, I like the safer shades. For someone who loves lippies, I’m still not the adventurous type. Sure, I would venture to try different sorts but I’m not the type who’d wear coral(or some beauty colour trend) simply because it’s cool. If something doesn’t look right to whatever “formula” for my look (everyone has one, I reckon) that I may have in my head, I really won’t go for it. Know what I mean?
But there’s something about a tube of red lipstick that screams, “Woman!”- somehow capturing the gender’s savoir faireand passionate essence.
