问题:

当使用VMware View Client连接时,提示Connecting to the View Connection server fails with the error: A secure connection to the server '(null)' cannot be established.

Resolution

The View Connection server is configured to use the Secure Tunnel connection to the desktop. This requires that the firewall allow port 443 to be open. If the firewall does not allow communication on port 443, the connection between the Client and Connection Server cannot be established.

To resolve this issue, try one of these options:

Disable secure tunneling on the View Connection Server behind the firewall .

To disable secure tunneling:
1. In the View Admin portal, navigate to View Configuration > Servers.
2. Click the Connection Server.
3. Click the General tab.
4. Under HTTP(S) Secure Tunnel, deselect Use Secure Tunnel connection to desktop.
Open ports on the firewall to allow communication between the Client and Connection server. Port 80 and 443 are used to connect Client and Connection servers.
